Plaza Indonesia Men Fashion Week 2018 Day-1 (From left to right: Alleira X Michael Ong, Parang Kencana, and Bateeq)

Plaza Indonesia Men Fashion Week 2018 is the ninth men fashion show held in Indonesia. The event that held at The Warehouse, Level 5 Plaza Indonesia Mall was started on September 24th, 2018 by carrying Batik as the main item of upcoming menswear. Three big labels such as Alleira Batik collaborated with one of the Malaysian designer, Michael Ong; then Parang Kencana and Bateeq, enlivened the PIMFW fashion show on its first day.

Hello fashionista and RILYFE blog readers, this time I will share a little about the Plaza Indonesia Men Fashion Week 2018 (# PIMFW2018) event held in September. This event was held for five days with the participation of 19 designers. For those who want to see how excited this event is, you can also see my Instagram Story on IG account @rizkyardinsyah. I have highlighted the IG Story with the name # PIMFW2018. Please check yuhuu! :)

Nowadays, fashion industry is not only attractive to women, thus Plaza Indonesia initiated to be a host for men's fashion show in Indonesia.

As stated by Zamri Mama, General Manager of Marketing of Plaza Indonesia, during a press conference, that currently there are not so many designers who specialize in menswear, so PIMFW hopes that in the future more and more designers will enter the men's fashion market.

This is certainly a promising thing also considering the enthusiasm of male fashion lovers keeps increasing over the years.

So how, are you guys already curious to see the latest collection showed by Alleira X Michael Ong, Parang Kencana, and Bateeq? Then let's peel the show!!!

ALLEIRA BATIK X MICHAEL ONG

For the first time, Alleira Batik (IG: @alleira_batik) collaborated with Michael Ong (IG: @ong72), a fashion designer from Malaysia. According to Anita Asmaya Sanin statement, Production Director of Alleira Batik, this collaboration is quite challenging. She said that Michael Ong has a design that shows lines of sporty  and street style, while Alleira has a design that is still very traditional.

Michael Ong also said that this collaboration is a good opportunity for this Men Fashion Week, especially batik is a good Indonesian fabric.

And it's true guys! The collaboration of Alleira Batik label and this Malaysian designer is so amazing. Batik that is very traditional in appearance is transformed into something modern and stylish. They showcases some oversize street-wear with of course carrying batik fabric as the identity of the clothes. I think it's interesting! Let's take a look at their collections below!

PARANG KENCANA

One thing that is very unique in the first day of this fashion show, is Parang Kencana batik label in the theme "TORERO". For me this is the first time seeing batik in European-style. Super unique!

Parang Kencana showcases around 30 clothes collections in European ambiance clothing styles like matador style, with a slimfit shirt, vest, cape, high-waisted pants, and crop top blazer. Corduroy, velvet and viscose material were chosen to give the impression of luxury.

European music ushered the male models on the LED catwalk. With a color theme dominated by red, navy, black, and mocha, the atmosphere of Spain was really viscous. The models look so dashing with Parang Kencana batik in Plaza Indonesia Men Fashion Week 2018.

Let's take a look at their collections below!

BATEEQ

It's time to call young people! Are you the type of person who doesn't want to use batik because batik seems old-fashioned? Come on guys! Let's try to see this batik collection from Bateeq. (IG: @bateeqshop)

By carrying the dominant blue color, the motif and colors blend displayed by Bateeq, batik really changed perception into a fashion item that was very fresh and attractive. I want to take some of their clothes!!! Kyaa!

Bateeq is a batik label with a unique design too. They have exhibited their collection in fashion shows such as Jakarta Fashion Week, Plaza Indonesia Fashion Week, even Seoul Fashion Kode  (SFK) 2018. And this is the first time Bateeq has appeared in Plaza Indonesia Men Fashion Week.
