Like technology, fashion industry continues to grow. The fashion designers create various fashion trends that are fond of fashionistas. Many big events about fashion update are also held to meet the customers directly and expand the fashion vibration to people. One of them is Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW). Since it was first held in 2008, Jakarta Fashion Week has attracted many fashion lovers, not only domestically but also overseas. Even JFW is recognized as one of the most attractive fashion events in Southeast Asia. JFW’s vision is to bring Indonesian fashion designers to the world.

As one of fashion enthusiasts, for me, the fashion show event is not only a showcase of clothing from various designers. More than that, it is actually a place to learn and share knowledge about the world of fashion, from styling to business.

According to the The McKinsey Global Fashion Index, global fashion industry sales to grow by 3.5 to 4.5 percent in 2018. And on average, consumers in Southeast Asia spend about eight hours a day online, from social media to video streaming and shopping among other things. This development moves towards the digital phase. It is a challenge for designers to enter the market and survive in it. 2018, is the year where fashion brands no longer ask “if” but “how” to collaborate with big online platforms (McKinsey & Company’s study). Hence, fashion brands must be able to fulfill consumer obsession with digital growth such as the-end-to-end transaction, innovative, and lower price.

To accomplish this issue, JFW has a vision for Indonesia to become one of the world’s fashion centers in the next decade. One of the real actions is through the Indonesia Fashion Forward (IFF) program. With the support of the Indonesian Creative Economy Agency, the involvement of the British Council, and the support of London Center of Fashion Enterprise (CFE), is a form of JFW's seriousness in producing Indonesian fashion designers who are able to compete with international fashion designers. This really caught my attention, because JFW offers something more. The designers are invited to learn and think to work more than the limits of their dreams. In the end, they will be given the opportunity to present their work at leading department stores and trade shows abroad. Awesome right?

Do you know that Asian economies have experienced strong economic growth? This is what makes Asia-Pacific is already established as one of the most important regions for global fashion business. And if you are asking whether Indonesian designers indeed worth compete in the global fashion business? You will know the answer after attending the Jakarta Fashion Week! You will be amazed by our designer's work. It seems, sometimes, I want to stand there, and doing a runaway for their amazing apparels, or sometimes, I also want to be one of those who can create fashion items that are so beautiful. I must be proud of being able to present my own design for this country.

During the past 10 years, JFW is always excited to hold events that rapidly known in Southeast Asia and global. Renowned fashion designers must enliven the Senayan City Mall stage (a place where JFW 2019 will be held). Are there any fashion designers you want to watch guys?

I, myself, will be confused when asked ‘Who is my favorite Indonesian fashion designers?’. I believe that every fashion designer has their own characteristics. Every design is not limited to sketch ink scratches that are realized into beautiful fashion items that wore by the models, but fashion items that live in the soul of the wearer. Like the fashion work of Anne Avantie, which is so tempting to the Batik enthusiast. She is absolutely born to conjure up batik cloth into an extraordinary masterpiece fashion items. Each of her work pieces has a soul and character.

Men sometimes do not like to wear complicated clothes. They prefer simple clothes that keep still look cool and masculine. If you are the type men of what I meant, then the street style outfit must be in one of your favorite styles list.

Look a little closer, the development of fashion makes men also creating a style-line that will make them look attractive in the public, while still prioritizing convenience and comfort.

Some put forward masculine principles and others tried the latest styles by prioritizing innovation. Looking at the 2019's trend that will appear with more patterns like squares and lines, will you be in the forefront of the fashion trend or stay on the menu of neutral? Or anything else?

There are many styles to choose from. Therefore, this time RilyfeID will try to capture some street styles that can be wore as your reference both in daily activities or hangouts with friends during weekends. Check it out!

I can say that DENIM is men's favorite look of all time. This fabric not only covers the body, but also Denim can give a soul to men in appearing more masculine look. Styling with denim is also easy to mix and match with various kinds of cloths. The simplest one is a combination of jeans jackets, jeans, and basic t-shirts. Don't forget, add sneakers as a dessert. It is possible, that ripped jeans will still be a trend in 2019. So if you have jeans that are no longer used because of boredom, try to modify it and give a new look. Making ripped jeans is not too difficult.

RilyfeID has proven it. Look at the look below! Rizky Ardinsyah tore his own jeans which were rarely used as new, more fresh jeans.

Looking back to the Fresh Off The Rail Streetwear Fall Winter 2018 from Risk Is Key, one of cutting-edge brands, that published in, bomber jacket still hit the trend.

Bomber Jacket can be considered as one of the fashion items that have a myriad of faces. We know bomber jackets with a neutral look, but time-machine bring a new life faster in this fashion item with diverse cuttings. We will also easily find many patterns, such as lines, floral, sands, or electric.

Still adapting East Asian styles like Japan and Korea, with their colorful style, printed jumpers like in the picture above, will still be favored by some men.

Those who like a more playful style will choose to use printed jumpers when they meet their close friends. One trick to keep your appearance looks cool is to mix and match your printed jumpers with plain bottom-wear. Like in the photo above, he mixes his printed jumper with grey tailored trousers. As additional accessories, you can use a long belt that is happening recently, a cap, sneakers, and a waist-bag.

Wohoo! There will be many styles that can be created with this fashion item. It becomes one of the must-have fashion items for men. If we look back to the various men's fashion events, such as New York Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week, and many else. Hoodies almost always exist with various types of styles.

It's sometimes weird, because even in spring or summer, hoodies will still be wore by men. And this has become a unique attraction for fashion designers. They compete not only in terms of patterns, but also in materials.

They were asked to fulfill the market's desire to create hoodies that are trendy and comfortable to use even in hot weather.

Another option is back-to-basic. By carrying a comfortable style, this choice will be a favorite for those who are lazy to spend time to choose clothes. Basic t-shirts with a blend of jeans will be very easy.

Tips to keep the appearance cool with this simple blend is play with the color. You can use contrasting color choices between t-shirts with bottom wear, or vice versa, using calm colors.

Another tips is choosing oversized t-shirt or wearing a printed/patterned shirt as the second layer of your top wear.

That's all from RilyfeID. Whatever your choice. The most important thing is confidence. Clothing is just a decoration that beautifies the dish, taste is still number one. That taste only can be found in your confidence.

Who doesn't want to go traveling to Lembang, Bandung? It seems that every weekend the flower city, Bandung, is very crowded with many domestic tourists, especially those from Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Karawang, Bekasi, and other cities around Bandung. Even a lot of hotel or villas are full from a few weeks before your travel plan. Really, this happened to me. Haha. Well, this time I want to share information about one of interesting places to stay in Lembang, Bandung. Check this review!

On August 4-5th, Me, with my office friends, went to Dago & Lembang, Bandung, for a vacation. According to our itinerary, we should stay at Lembang. Some hotels and villas are full, and honestly this makes me and my friend, Tashya, are confused looking for a place to stay.

Finally Tashya found this Blackbird Hotel (Click here). This hotel is still a part of Maja Group, one of the famous restaurants in Bandung. Blackbird Hotel is located on Jalan Sersan Bajuri No. 9, Lembang, Bandung. The location is very close to Maja House, maybe just two minutes by walking. Or you can go by Golf Car that provided by this hotel. If I pulled the route from Blackbird Hotel to Farm House Susu Lembang, it was around 7-8 km. Yesterday, I took Jalan Sersan Bajuri (southern part), because it's still early around at 8.30 am, the traffic was still friendly, and it only took about 30 minutes.

If we come from the south, this hotel is located on the right side of the road. In the first we enter this hotel, we will be in a quite large parking lot. So for you who travel with car, do not worry about the parking are, even bus can park in this place. Then we will enter the gate where the receptionist welcomed the guests. Upon our check-in, the male hotel staff was friendly to welcome us. But unfortunately not for the women staff hotel when we checked-out. For this pretty good hotel, this front-liner hotel staff is less friendly. This must be improved by the hotel, considering that the front-liner staff is the first image or the last impression that the hotel will give to its guests.

After check-in, we will walk through a small yard to go to a hotel restaurant. This restaurant is honestly not too big. The distance between the tables is quite close. But the interior design captivate enough my heart. So colorful... so beautiful. It has a minibar, several pairs of four tables, 1 big eight table, and 2 colorful couches. Then it is decorated with unique lamps and some plants that beautify this room.

We stayed with a breakfast package. The food provided was not too much compared to other hotel in the same price. The main menu is only sausage & smoked beef fried rice, chicken porridge, carbonara spaghetti, mix vegetables, cereal, and fried chicken. Other menus, there are salads, breads, croissants, coffee, tea, orange juice, guava juice, and pudding. The taste isn't too special, but in my opinion, it is pretty good enough. I like the fried rice and the very tasty chocolate pudding. And unlike the women front-liner staff I just mentioned, the restaurant staff are so friendly.

Down the stairs from the restaurants, we will be greeted with a very beautiful swimming pool. using stones as the main material for exterior design gives the nice vintage and contemporary impression. There were also some beautiful mattress tents that can be used with your family. Is the swimming pool friendly enough for kids? YES! There is also a space area for children. So luvly! Hehe. Another advantage of the Blackbird Hotel, the hotel staff provides a beautiful floaties which of course is free of charge. Also the hotel will give a rattan basket of towels for swimming for guest who will swim.

We can find many beautiful photo spots inside of this hotel. It seems like this hotel is intentionally making the place so instagramble, adjusting customer needs lately who love a place with a beautiful and unique design. Here are some beautiful spots and moments that can be a recommendation to take pictures.

Well, now we will move to the most important thing from this hotel, BEDROOM!

Picture 12  Ambiance from level 2 Blackbird Hotel. Source:
This hotel provides around 29 comforting rooms and divided into three different rooms by style and size. I myself slept in a medium size room, with twin beds. My friends also got a medium size room with a balcony. The most important things from a bedroom, such as AC, hot water, TV cable, sandals hotel, water heater, coffee & tea, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, liquid soap, towels (big & small), blanket, and closet are available in this hotel. If you need a hairdryer, you can ask to the hotel staff.

The design of bedroom, in my opinion, is a combination of vintage and contemporary, because it doesn't have so many decoration. the property is simple, but made of wood. Apparently, this design is also adjusted to their concept who want to be closer to nature. As seen in Picture 12, that in the middle of this hotel, there is a green lawn garden. There are several long chairs and tables to relax and chat with colleagues or family.

How do you think about the bedrooms? Beautiful right? Even the bedrooms are instagramable, hehe. This hotel doesn't only steal my heart, but also with my friends. Like Tashya, who love the rooms so much.
